Evaluation Studies
Inter-ed can undertake evaluation studies of labour market initiatives, education
and training policies and programmes, local economic development initiatives,
and similar types of interventions. Evaluation studies are lead by Roger Mullin,
our company MD.
Our research techniques would often include literature searches, input-output
data gathering, structured and semi-structured interviews, questionnaire surveys,
focus groups, strategy workshops, and reflective group work. Both quantitative
and qualitative analysis is undertaken.
We seek to explain the relationship between INPUTS, PROCESSES and OUTCOMES.
We articulate outcomes achieved, and where appropriate measure additionality,
leverage and cost benefits. See our section on questionnaire surveys for more
information on how we structure questionnaires.
Techniques such as MAUT, or taking more Bayesian approaches to evaluation,
also feature in many of our studies. So too might the use of acquisitive inquiry
approaches, where the evaluation is part of a wider Organisational Development
consultancy. The selection of the methodological approach will always be made
in partnership with the client.
